Just completed my first ever 5k event and I am over the moon with my time of 34:23 on a hilly course.

Well done! I did my first today, too - somewhat slower at 39:59 on a fairly flat course. Still very pleased.

Well done , I did my first one today too, I came 140 out of 140 at 46.59. A lot of walking and talking to the back marker , but was cheered on by everyone , not bad for a 64 year old newbie .First time I had run outside , only done a little running on the treadmill recently so was not expecting to even finish. No blisters . no sore legs just need more stamina, glad I did it , I can only get better. Roll on next week I now have a PB to beat.

But you did it!! Another great achievement and I hope you really enjoyed it - I am very slow, and had to walk a bit today too, but just happy to be out there early on a Saturday morning :-)

After 2 weeks since my 1st parkrun I braved the icy course and cold weather and did my 2nd.

Still came last at 47.50 around the same time as the first one 46.59 but no PB but I am hooked.

Still been making those excuses too myself why not to go,

week one was weather to bad,

second week I had given blood as a donor.

This week was new trainers plus all the above,

But this week I told myself if everyone listened to their excuses nobody would be there and that would be a shame......so I went and I ran / walked my way for 5k and enjoyed every minute.

My son has just rang to say how proud he is of me , now that is worth everything.
