Fantastic well done for completing week 1. Onwards and upwards. You can do this.
In many ways the early weeks are tough. I had issues up to week 6 and by then my body had worked through the niggles and resigned itself to the fact that I was going to continue putting it through this running lark. Follow the programme but don't be afraid to adapt it a bit if you need to. You can re-do weeks to build confidence and stamina..just do whatever you have to to stay on the programme. Doing too much too fast is not a good mantra. Slow and steady for now.
Well done. Agree with post below: slow and steady. Ran my week 1 runs with a little too much enthusiasm and could barely walk the next day with shin pains!! Now on week 9 and still sticking with slooooow steady pace. The programme works. Good luck and congratulations on completing week 1.
