My scheduled Monday run was scuppered by work and traffic. Then Tuesday by baby sitting (really not complaining about that one). I got home yesterday and changed into my shorts and tasteful(?) fluorescent top, then the heavens opened. 'This will test your resilience' said the voice from the couch grrr. Five minutes warm up, stretching and stepping, the rain had eased off a bit so off I went. I had a few technical issues which messed up my timing. Non of that mattered because I actually enjoyed the run, well most of it. I never thought I would say that, or that missed running and couldn't wait to get back out.
Choice of podcast... Simon Mayo Confessions. I was slightly embarrassed when I caught myself laughing but it certainly keeps the 'stop running' gremlin at bay. Mixing up what I listen to really is helping and I'm going to try the sounds of nature soon!
