Last night at around 19:00, just as the last light was falling from the sky, I completed W9R3
What a great feeling. My wife and children met me at the bottom of the drive with balloons and party poppers, cheering me home.
It hasn't really sunk in fully that 9 weeks ago I was counting every single second of the 1 minute runs, fearing I'd drop dead with exhaustion and now I can run 5k in 37 minutes non-stop.
My challenge is far from over. I still have to lose another 7 stone and then maintain my health, weight and fitness.
Thought I'd humiliate myself with a little post run photo

You are a complete poster boy! I just read your previous post as well. What a brilliant story, and you clearly had the best reasons for doing what you are doing.
Your family must be SOOOOO proud!
(When I graduated I got home to a house empty except for the cat, and she didn't even open her eyes! I posted on here and was completely BLOWN AWAY by the messages of congratulation. I love this place.)
Congratulations. That is a really great graduation 30km time, no question about that. Love the photo, and the fact that your family are so behind you. Really well done. Happy Running
You are working that look well. Fabulous pic and what a lovely family celebration. Well done and congratulations upon your graduation 🎓🎓🎓💐 upward and onward!
Brilliant post and photo. Well done Wish I had a welcoming committee ! I had to buy my own Magnum(Ice cream) from the NISA lady from the NISA shop.
She did take a photo for posterity though. If you had a party with Ice Cream I'd have been there ! I'm jealous ,your photo and party was better than mine !
Well done! You now have the enormous responsibility of helping and inspiring new runners. See that badge next to your name? That means that you are now an "expert"
