Hi Sarah, well done for starting the programme and watch out.... Running is addictive 😀 Personally, I don't think just completing c25k will result in weight loss but it does generally encourage people to focus on what they are eating... I'vye lost 2 stone so far, with a stone to go and that's mainly by cutting carbs. The running has made sure I'm more toned, given me back a waist and lifted my butt!! Good luck with the programme and keep us posted x

You know what - that is a beautiful smile at the start of this programme and I can't wait to see the one when you graduate :)

Losing weight - I quit trying to do that a long time ago. I have little willpower and an aversion to the hard work of finding or cooking 'good healthy' food.

So - just ran. This programme was NOT something I ever dreamt of being able to do beyond the first week or two (read my early posts if you want to see what I mean :) )

After a few weeks I started seeing the difference body-wise. Looked FAR better than I had before. I was still eating crap and had no intention of taking on 'another challange' while trying the running lark.

However - three months later I have lost over ten pounds without dieting - but I find I have far less craving for junk food or just eating when bored or anything.

I feel so much better physically and mentally that I am not really bothered shoving food down me as much as I used to.

So - I guess what I am trying to say is, from what I have read here running is not a 'magic wand' to lose weight and there are probably more efficient ways to do so, but it sure makes you look and feel better overall while you gradually slim down :)

Anyway - I do hope you stay and run with us. We may run on our own but we never run alone here :)

And god do I want to see what your smile looks like at Graduation ;)

Best wishes :)
