W9R3!! Finished in style

So on Saturday I finally did my graduation run, entering a 10km to see how it would go and I think we did great! My running buddy (on the left) and I finished in 1:16 and got some bling to prove it!

Now on to the next mission 10km in an hour!

You ran 10K in a race, for your graduation? How brave! That's a great time too, congratulations xx

There was some walking involved after the first 30 minutes of running but I have been increasing my distance after completing each weeks running (last weekend I did a park run and ran for 31 min even though I was only doing week 8).

The race was also for charity so thought I would try and push myself abit :)

You walked some of it and still came in at 1.16? Envious gnashing of teeth....

10km race on the 16th Oct (The Gun Run) - I have been attending the Wednesday warm-up runs as a build- up to this race (did two 5 km runs and last week attempted a 8).

I started C25K to get back into running after injuring myself in April (tore most of the muscles in the side of my calf falling down my driveway!) so the program was more of a injured to 5K for me :)

The Gun Run was my first 10km last year (did it in 1:29) so I definitely think I can do it!

I feel so much more motivated than I was before my injury because of the forums great support system and encouragement!

I have joined the bridge to 10K now, I want to improve my time and hopefully by this time next year move on to even greater distances :)
