Back after a break...

Had a couple of weeks off while I was travelling in Africa. I thought about taking my running gear but as it turned out, the first hotel we stayed in had zebra and baboons roaming the grounds, and our safari lodge in Botswana had a resident hippo, so going for a run was probably not the best idea! I got bacj to Edinburgh a couple of days ago, and went out on my first week 7 run after the long drive from Liverpool. Man it hurt!! I only just managed to go the distance without stopping. Tonight I went out for W7R2, feeling a bit apprehensive, but it was so much better! I even managed a short fast burst at the end! It feels like I'm getting back into the rhythm of the programme once again :-)

I ran with MapMyRun! Distance: 5.24km, time: 36:26, pace: 6:57min/km, speed: 8.63km/h.
