Did my first run today! Week 1 - Day 1. So out of shape.... Probably how most people have felt when they started. Hope to keep getting inspired by people on this board. Look forward to reading other peoples post and get motivated by other people.
Week 1 - Day 1 (So out of shape!): Did my first... - Couch to 5K
Week 1 - Day 1 (So out of shape!)

Well done for getting started, always the hardest part. Welcome aboard The forum is great for support and and advice and always remember the forum mantra - if it's tough slow down, then slow down some more
Look forward to hearing of your progress

You just completed the hardest run of all! Congratulations. The second hardest will be the first few steps out the front door again - but if some of us battered old crocks can inspire you by saying 'If we did it so can you' that will make our day to help someone else find the joy of running that we have
Best wishes Flutch

Well done on starting couch 2 5k Flutch
It is a great program, that does work. Take it slowly, work through it one run at a time, with at least one rest day inbetween. After your run its a good idea to do a few leg stretches while your muscles are still warm.
Good luck. Let us know how you are getting along.😊

Welcome to running and welcome to the forum! You will find lots of support , guidance and encouragement here so read often and post us your progress regularly. You are now part of the running community, well done! And yes we have all found it hard and not just at the beginning, but if we can get through the programme with success you absolutely can too!
Good luck, great start🏃🏻👍🏼

I think most here were fresh off the couch but were crow-barred reluctantly off it by being out of shape, unfit and unhealthy with the realisation that if we didn't do something to arrest our decline we were heading for serious health problems down the line.
You're here now and can get cracking. Keep moving. Never quit 😊
Oh, and don't forget to have fun 😊

Hi and welcome... You will be inspired and motivated.. and have great time too!
Slow and steady is the way..... keep thinking that and you will be fine..post regularly and take the great advice and tips x....Good luck with run 2!
