Park Run!

I was lying in bed on Saturday morning accompanied by many gremlins snuggling up and trying to get me to stay cosy rather than put my gear on and get out for my first park run. They are so clever! Everything was analysed , from how silly I would look , how much wine I'd drink the night before, how I'd never manage to print the bar code off etc etc. With your advice in my mind I fought them off , forced myself out of the house - and did it! So thanks again everyone! Onwards to week 9 and graduation!!

Remove that word from your vocabulary! Do it now!!! It does you absolutely no good and is surplus to requirement. Give it notice to quit. Give it the boot. You'll feel much better once that's done as it can't bother you again.

So, with nothing to queer your pitch, you can get out there unfettered and free to get on with it. Week 9 is as good as in the bag already.

Yeeeeeeha!

You will never regret a run but you may well regret not going for one. Well done.

Well done, TessHardy ! You've shown those gremlins where they can go. One of my running gal pals always does her best Parkrun after a night on the beer (!) but I guess it's not really recommended as a training strategy.

You'll be graduating in no time :)

Much as I would love to factor in beer to my training plan, think you are right!

Brilliant and well done - I have my first park run on Saturday which is also my last run (hopefully) of Wk 9 ,. It's quite scary to be doing the real thing among other runners so may well also have to beat off the gremlins to get me out of bed!!

I know what you mean about the other runners - I've done all my running on my own so far. However, on the day it was quite reassuring to be running alongside (mainly behind to be fair!) others, especially the small children and the people pushing buggies! (How do they do it?!)

Enjoy!

Amazing, well done you! Great strength of character. I can't accomplish anything in the mornings so I'm impressed by that alone, let alone completing the parkrun! Great work. Graduation beckons!
