Hey jan..you've been great..going well. not done a parkrun yet.. there are none close enough.. really I'm just plodding along.. I've managed a 6k .. and messed about with the walk run bit which has helped my pace slightly toying with the bridge to 10k.. but scarey..lol
Good for you Sparky for keeping up the running and fantastic weightloss.π
You would like Bridge 2 10k its not scary..just bitesize runs. The sammy Murphy music is good too. Its just like when we started, just longer runs between the sweet walk breaks.
Lovely to hear from you again..keep posting run stuff so we can support you and cheer you on.πx
Thanks think I will definitely start the bridge to 10k.. going to start tomorrow.. be good to have a program to follow again.. feel ready for it now after a couple of months of doing my own thing.. Will keep me motivated and a renewed goal to aim for thanks Jan.. x
If you're doing the Sammy Murphy one the first week is a bit quiet..listen out carefully for when you start to run after the warm up....otherwise it's fabπ hope you enjoy it. x
Thanks poppypug, feel so much better for it!! I knew had to do something about it..as my back was so sore..just the slow walk to work was exausting So started dieting end of October, that's what brought me here.. needed a boost of excercise.. found c25k and not looked back since!!
Running has given me much more than just being able to.. it's given me a whole new outlook on life in general.. love it and learning to love the new improved me x
Wow, well done on the weight loss, Sparky, that's fantastic π
Well done too for sticking with it and getting faster, stronger and fitter: that, in the end, is what it's all about. I sometimes feel that we don't give ourselves enough credit for actually getting out there and just running regularly. So, way to go, Sparky, you're living the c25k dream!!
I get your angst about posts vanishing. Happens to me all the time. It took me about 10 attempts to get in here this morning. Sausage fingers π
Glad to hear your weight is going in the right direction βΊ if you gradually up the distance and just keep moving in general your weight will come off if you continue to eat and drink healthily. Good luck and keep,on running! π
