W3R3 done- that was harder than W3R2 for some reason!

Lots of niggles and aches today when we were running; for some reason it felt harder than the last run, although I did think maybe we recovered pretty quickly afterwards.

Still listening to Alice in Wonderland read aloud on the ebook function of my phone as I run and it does help distract me.

My sister had bought me some new trainers and they arrived today but were too small as the make must size small since I am usually a 4 but these were nowhere near right, which was disappointing.

We are supposed to be doing W4R1 on Sunday.

Well done. Do you know that you should buy running shoes at least half a size larger than your normal size - allows for your feet to swell!

These were supposed to be 5 but we were told they sized a little small- my feet are size 4 so I reckoned on them being 4 and a half but they were too snug on me; would have cramped my feet when running so I gave them to my 12 year old daughter who is running as well.

Well done particularly as there were niggles. Funny how some runs seem harder than others for no apparent reason - the work of the gremlins :-( Am on W6 now and, touch wood, the niggles are getting fewer :-) Good luck with W4.

Thank you! :-) We were trying to run as slow as possible today to convince ourselves that we could keep it up for five minutes next week and walking very briskly so that we were still working hard so that next week isn't too much of a shock!

I will be away for part of next week and not sure what to do as my family and I have been doing this together, so we have to talk about what to do as don't especially want to be running on my own somewhere I don't know but don't want to hold everyone back by asking them to wait until I get back.

Oh I'm sure your family will wait for you. Sometimes taking a couple of extra rest days really helps :)

Good going! Yeah, for some reason I find the second run of the week harder, and then more niggles on the last of the week. It's improving as I'm gaining strength, I'm sure your's will improve too.

Tough call on what to do while you're away. I'm facing the same dilemma in a couple of weeks when we go away for my husband's birthday. Decisions Decisions.

Good luck on week 4! Let us know how you get on, as I'll be doing it the following morning! Eeek! 😳
