Please feel free to join and log what you fancy doing for the "I am Team GB" big sport day (weekend).
Its not important about time or distance it is just about getting off the couch and taking part in the nations biggest sports day.
Also if your not from GB don't worry, you can do it for your own country. It will be really interesting to see how many nations we can get involved on this forum and on the Bridge to 10km.
If you live outside GB as an expat then your still part of team GB but please feel free to share what country you are getting out there doing it in.
Wishing you all a happy healthy weekend

I'm planning to do the Perth Parkrun on Saturday morning. It will be the morning after my daughter's 21st birthday ceilidh but I'm not making that an excuse for lying in bed.
Aw this looks fab Rfc , thanks for putting this up
I am doing a parkrun then I am off to the set of Coronation Street as I have managed to get my hot sweaty little mitts on some guest tickets for the event there . May end up playing ping pong with Rita from the Kabin. Ha ha !
I hope drag hubby aka Fazzical out for our first training session for the blindfold run this weekend. It will be very slow I'm sure but exhausting too. As it will feel like a marathon can we count as team GB ?!π
I'll be doing Parkrun as usual. My Parkrun is taking part in 'I am Team GB' and we're hoping for a bug turnout. Seeing as there's normally up to about 650, it could be huge!
I will be attempting Week 4, run 1, and am scared!!!!!
Will be doing an early morning long run along the sea front of Beirut (Lebanon) on Saturday. This is a great incentive to actually do it
Not sure how far I'll go - did 9k down there a few weeks ago and then did a 10k event on 5th August. I'd like to consolidate that 10k distance, so I'll see how it goes. (BTW I'm a Bridge to 10k graduate - don't you C25K-ers start feeling bad!!)
Really wish I'd paid up and got some of the Team GB kit so I could have worn it on this auspicious occasion!
Depending on weather, I might try a gentle 5k along the river on Saturday morning to start getting me back into the swing of running. I'm a French resident Brit, and as France also got their best medal score in ages I guess I'm doing it for both countries.
Hoping to drag my daughter along to her first Parkrun -she's just done w5r3 (assuming my niggly back is up to running!) I really really want to be part of the Team GB celebrations this weekend π
Just a three mile walk for me tomorrow morning to volunteer at our community Hydro. No run because I ran today. I may get out for a Strength and Flex session later though.
Probably nothing on Sunday because I will be running a ukulele workshop at Stockport Old Town Fringe Festival. Plus I need to run Monday to fit in my schedule next week.
I am from Italy, living in the UK. I am going to run hopefully both Saturday (10 + miles) and Sunday (10 + miles). i also plan to go to the swimming pool on Sunday with the kids for fun and walk around in woods on Saturday
I'll be walking 5 miles each day with my dog plus I've a morning run on the 28th. I'm also fiddling with my music group on the 27th and 28th, so giving the bingo wings a work out too! πͺπ½
Nursing bruised knee after two overexcited dogs (one mine) careered into me playing on a narrow path. Run seemed a bit risky, so did a walk/ jog interval 5K which was actually enjoyable. It also meant I did more cardio zone time than peak time which has become a focus recently. Slightly depressingly, it only took ten mins longer than my recent 5k runs!
Just back from a 6.5k and really enjoyed it. After getting a couple of ticks recently I even went out last night and cut back some of the ferns growing over the path. No ticks on me today but can't say for the dog yet.
Advantix - does the job for our Springer, who runs in all the undergrowth, not seen a tick on him since we started using it. I know it doesn't suit all dogs and you can't use if you have cats in the household.
