This morning I have completed week 9! For those of you who kept me going you will know I've had injuries, and self doubt but you have all kept me motivated and I have done it!!
Nice sunny morning out early (not so early as usual) but off I went so excited to think I had nearly made it, started off at a nice steady pace, run past a man walking his dog who decide he wanted to run with me so I managed to get him off my leg and carry on.
Down the lane, careful round the horse manure in my path, down by the Quay, along the river, even decided to throw in some grass, this really seems to be my nemesis.
Onwards towards home, then I hear Laurs say 60 seconds, then finished....π€
I have struggled, it's not been easy, but I have kept going, and really look forward to my run now. This morning it was nice that other runners, walkers and cyclists said good morning, felt like a little community.
I am not fast but that will come in time I hope, but I managed 4K this morning, which is my best yet.
So to any newbies out there believe in yourself you can do it, I never thought at my age, and being overweight I could do this, but I have it took a little longer than 9 weeks but that doesn't matter, we all get there at our own pace.
One question I do have for those of you who have been graduated a long time, do you still do the 5 minute walks, I would prefer to just stretch well and get straight out especially in the mornings before work - advice please. Thank you
Happy running!!!!!!!ππππππ
