W9R2 in the bag. I can see the finish line!

Completed Week 9 Run 2 this morning and even managed to speed up a tad in the last minute! (I am a slow runner to start with though!). I can see the end in sight! Threw me a bit with the mornings getting darker already! I am an early morning runner -5.30 starts. Any tips for how to get on with this as autumn draws closer? Reflective clothing, the feeling of safety etc?

Well done just the one to do, I better shuffle up the podium to make way for you joining us.

Have had a look myself and there are plenty of reflective running tops available for the coming winter months

It was very dark this morning! Definitely reflective clothes and stick to well lit roads , were theres people going to work so your never actually alone. Theres apps aswell that can show loved ones your real time location , which i will be looking into more. Good luck with your next run to the podium!

Thanks both. Good advice. I run on my estate and just keep looping round so I do usually feel fairly safe but only really done it in the light so far.

Congrats the badge is twinkling in its drawer waiting for you. Fluoro forever, use the tracking facility on the phone real time. Start checking out your new (longer?) routes in daylight first, so you know all the nooks and crannies to avoid. And if you have someone at home waiting for you, give a rough eta to them.

But fabulous running, so close to the podium. Well done

Glad you asked this question, I'm on week 8 and like you have done all my runs at 5;30 am ( best time of day ) not looking forward to darker mornings so may have to re-think my day. No energy later in the day. Reflective clothing good idea,

I am the same about no energy later in the day though I might just have to try it and see if I can do it. :-)

It's something I've thought about too, altho I wouldn't be going until 630ish, in a few weeks it's going to be dark too!

Primark apparently do running leggings with reflective stripes down, not tried them myself but at least they would be cheapish.

Bloody fantastic on getting this far 🎉💥🎉 your badge is waiting for you!
