Thanks to my pesky dogs barking to go out at at 5am π¬π¬ I went out for my second run of week 5 super early so here I am all hyped for the day and it's only 7am. Everyone else is still asleep - including the pesky dogs! I had Map My Run in the background today and it's official I do run quicker than I walk - just π Also ran the second 8 minutes faster than the first. Just have to trust Laura now as the next outing will be the scary 20 minutes π³
Extra early run: Thanks to my pesky dogs barking... - Couch to 5K
Extra early run
I was worried about the 20 mins but I reasoned that if I can do two lots of 8 with 5 mins walk in the middle I can always just slow right down for the middle bit if I need too, as long as I don't slow down to walking. And actually it was fine, as yours will be. I tend to vary my speed as I'm running anyway.
I have the early warning alerts every day due to animals deciding they need my attention very handing for running days and you certainly see more at that time only drawback is it does seem to make the day longer but at least the runs are cooler
That was early ! But as a dog owner I know that 5 am get up howl .
What a great day to start your day , I'm just about to meet my friends for my longer sat am run ,prob feeling near lunch time for you
Have a great day
Well done! I was worried at that too and about the additional strain on my recovering leg so did an extra week 5 run 2 on weds , doing two ten minute (rather than eight) runs. ( just pressed the rewind 15 sec button on my phone towards the end of the run repeating the last minute twice ) which gave me the confidence for r3 yesterday knowing I could run 20 mins albeit with a break. Laura is also really supportive in r3 saying the right thing at the right time! Good luck!
My legs and feet feel good so I'm going to go for it on Monday morning. I have a week off work now so will have all day to recover if I need it. I know I can do it coz Laura says I can and she hasn't been wrong yet π
Well done - sounds like a great run and good to go out early too, even if it wasn't planned
Early morning runs are the best! Really gives you that smug feeling all day!
Well done. You'll be fine with run 3 - and you will feel amazing afterwards!
Well done!! After your next run you'll have completed 20 minutes, how great is that?!
Well done, our dogs are always doing that to me! Then I feel bad about not taking them with me but four dogs with no road sense weaving around in front of me....arghhh!
I love early, it's the best... 5.30 is the best time of day to be out there π
