So it's been nearly 3 weeks, I'm walking around OK now and don't have to have a break to put my feet up. The pain in my shin has gone too, it felt like I had been kicked in the shin! I'm going to wait until at least next weekend before I attempt any running but was wondering how far I should go back? I suppose I could go right back to the start and do a day of each week until I get to a point where I feel I need to be? Also had anyone used these knee bands - physioroom.com/product/Phys... Do they help or not?
Getting back running again, post Knee tendonit... - Couch to 5K
Getting back running again, post Knee tendonitis advise please.
I was on the IC just after I'd done W6r2 I think. I took almost 2 weeks off but then tried r2 again and managed it fine. It was a relief that I hadn't lost the progress I'd made. Good luck!
Oh dear. Have been on and off the IC myself recently. All self inflicted. Have also been thinking about how far to go back. After two weeks, did 20 mins run last Weds. Fine. Did 25 mins on Fri and thought fine but on 2 hr dog walk on Sat was ever so slightly niggly. So p,acing it cautiously and giving it another week till Friday. Am reassured by daughter that you do not actually lose fitness that quickly so best take it slowly rather than risk. And, of course, chimes with all the advice on this place. Take care!
Hi plop - glad you're on the mend. I think what you propose is very sensible so that You can find a safe and comfortable level to pick up again.
Good luck and take care!
