Oh dear, I know there's a plan, I know what the plan is, I know I'm supposed to follow the plan...but hell...I've always been a bit of a rebel...and so it was that a 5.5K 'planned' run turned into my first 6 ks (giggles) ....in mitigation it's not entirely my fault....ummm because...ummmm...well my 'run tracker' lady only updates me when I've hit an actual K and not a half...sooooo well when I realised I must be close to my 5.5 I checked the mapthingy and it read 5.7....which when you think about it is so close to 6 that it would have been rude not to...so I did !!!!! And it felt great! Great to know I'm edging closer to that magic 8K....and I might actually even make it...don't judge me too harshly...you'd have done the same....wouldn't you? xx

Well done. Don't worry I did a similar thing this week, planned a 5k then got stopped at a level crossing being down so took a 'short cut' n ended up panting my way through a 6k. sounds good for being on track for your 8k though x
It's good to have a plan but doesn't mean you have to stick to it. You were out running, that's all that matters.
