Thought this might be helpful as there are always lots of questions about running shoes. Need to buy some new ones myself and hoping that there are some with a very wide toe box as I've not been able to find any that fit right there before.

Interesting.......I wonder if this advice applies to trail running?

I would have thought so, but can't say from experience as I've not got many trails under my belt :-( perks of living in the concrete jungle!

There is quite a bit of difference between the various brands so I would deffo head to the running shop and get suited for them - road or trail. You need to try them on. You need at least a half size bigger than your normal shoes as your feet swell on runs. I like shoes wide in the toe box and found Mizuno to be wide! Nike and brooks, oh and Saucony, from the selection I tried. Asics and adidas were too narrow. Shops seem to offer no wide fit versions but usually they can be found online

Yep it was asics I was fitted with as they were the best from what they had but they were far too narrow for my feet.
