Week 6

Completed the first run of week 6. Completed it but think I set off a bit quick as was struggling to finish the 2nd 5 minute run as the legs started to feel very heavy.

Considering I did 20 minute run last week with no problems really I just need to slow the pace down.

Just checked Strava results last week and my pace was virtually the same this week. Must just be a mental thing then.

You think if you run faster, it is over quicker :)

Slow down, steady as you go and you will be fine...think Snail on a go slow! Ooo! That' s me!

Well done AndyIoW - I found that run the least enjoyable, apart from wk 1 run 1.

Hi Andy

This was absolutely me least favourite run; it is definitely mentally challenging that one!

Onwards and upwards x

Well the 2nd run done this morning and it felt a lot better then the first run of this week.

Got myself a early birthday present as well, a HRM (Polar H7) to pair with Strava to see what heart rate I have when running.

So today the 2 10 minute runs my heart was at about 142bpm with it getting down to just under 100 at the end of the 3 minute walk. Pace is quite consistant as well at about 12 mins 30 secs per mile.

Feeling confident for the 3rd run this week now after the struggle on run 1
