and this morning, Carole Kirkwood chatting about beginning Couch to 5K.. I tweeted her, to flag up our wonderful forum.. she replied and who knows.. she may join us! We are so awesome, she really should
Good luck to her. I hope she makes the runningvprogramme known to more people. I really think a lot of people who are exercise-shy or just reluctant exercisers can really benefit from it. It isn't easy to don your running gear and head out for your first run but it is a lot easier than joining a club for a group sport, taking tennis lessons or joining a gym and it is that relatively low threshold and the sense of being in control of it yourself which makes it so accessible. It also works, with time and persistance you will run but you could spend years trying to master balls, bats, gloves and raquets and just never find the coordination. Yoga is fairly low threshold and accessible too in my opinion but doesn't give you aerobic fitness. Running is great
Me too... a few more appeared when the weather got better... but I rarely see any on my field runs...maybe they saw me running backwards that time and are giving me a very wide berth!!!
Carol was the one who inspired me to have a go when I saw her talking about it in breakfast - even though I'm currently struggling I'm very grateful to her for giving me the courage to finally get out there. Thanks Carol!!
Yes indeed😏 Are you getting ypur running issues sorted.
Shoes can cause real problems.I got some new ones, to replace my old faithfuls a while back..my Tigger shoes..😉 I was on the IC with a crocked knee for ten days!!! Had to go back to my old running shoes and then get some exactly the same, which I am breaking in and doing fine with😊
