Last night, I went for my penultimate run. I was feeling positive and open to the idea of running a bit further than normal, or not, depending on how I was feeling. By about 3k I felt comfortable, then 4k came and went. Clock watched a bit for the last kilometre but I DID 5k! I'm absolutely thrilled! I was on cloud nine last night feeling so good! Anyone who knows me would agree when I say that I don't stick at things - it's just how it usually goes. Finding myself still running 4 weeks in was a miracle let alone reaching my final goals! I got a little tear in my eye (it's not just you sparky66 !) when I realised that the whole build up of weeks, highs and lows was for this! I couldn't even finish my warm up walk before ringing my mum!
There seems to be a bit of a run (sorry) on graduations and successful runs - it's so up-lifting. It's so great to see so many people that have tried so hard at something and it all comes good. Well done everyone!
