Hi All, Thought I would pop in and update on my post grad running...been a bit busy job hunting, short holiday and half term...off to see England play tonight with the boychild.
It's been 25 days since graduation and so far my runs are around the 5k mark 3 times a week. Some days I rest an extra day, others I run every other day then have a long weekend. Longest run was 6.2k in an hour. (Still slowwww)
I've been trying to run faster, some runs have been at speed but with run/walk...to recover! Quickest km is 8.38 but I thought I was going to die. Other runs are just that....runs. Removing the fitbit has been good...husband wants to by me a garmin or samsung gear watch but I'm happy just to run...no tech, just me and my thoughts/legs/lungs.
Where to go next and what I do, I'm not too sure...undecided between building speed or elongating the runs. So I'm happy to stick to 5k ish either at speed or plodding, I do whatever I feel like doing ....does anyone else like the freedom after C25K to do what they want to when they run?
Anyway...All is good, legs strong, weight has stuck the same for 4 weeks but lost another inch and I found if I drink less water when running my hands/fingers don't swell up so much (and I don't need a wee so soon either!)
Love to all, happy running
