The only thing holding you back is self doubt. Throw it on the ground, kick it away and run in the opposite direction. Getting started is the hardest part, once you've conquered the fear it will be much easier to continue next time. We've all been there and are cheering you on, listen out for us.
I've just looked at previous posts and I think you've built this up too much in your mind! Do the warm up, then do a fast walk, slow down for the break, then speed walk again, keep repeating this. If you feel like doing so, speed up or speed up a little next time. You should not be bouncing along and should not be breathless, take it easy and eventually you will find a speed that suits you. For now, just be happy to be outside and exercising, and remember we all start from different levels of fitness and the only person you should be competing with is yourself. This is your life, your body, your fitness program, your future.
Don't worry about other people, most of us felt self-conscious the first time we went out, but once you get going it won't be an issue.

Just go slow and go for it. Don't worry about what anyone else is thinking, you've taken the hardest step just getting out of the door!! I feel so much better for doing C25K. I'm the fittest I've ever been for years, so just go for it...and buy a decent sports bra, and some proper running shoes, they're worth every penny.
