W5 R3 by mistake...

I've been repeating W5 R1&2 for a couple of weeks now, putting off the 20 minute run of R3!  Anyway tonight I set off as normal on R2, only to hear "that's 5 minutes of solid running you've done.." Hang on! Laura normally tells me after 4 minutes that I'm half way through my 8 minute run.  A frantic, panicked glance at my ipod follows, and I realise I'm on the dreaded R3  by mistake.  To carry on or to bail out?  Of course, I carried on, and I'm thrilled to say I managed the full 20 minute run.  It was tough, but I did it!  To be honest I don't think I would have dared set out to do R3, so doing it by accident was probably the only way I'd have managed it.  Onto W6 R1 next, although this seems like a bit of a come-down now after the "marathon" of W5 R3.

well done, you were ready for it! However wk6 r1 is still a step forward and not a step back, so can catch you out by making you think it will be a breeze after wk5 r3! It is manageable though and you will do it!

I am confused about this - W5 R3 seems definitely harder than W6 R1 and i don't quite get the logic there! (i just finished W4 and am already dreading W5 R3!)

And this is why we tell folk not to look ahead and that if they have completed a run successfully they really don't need to be doing extra. Well done, and bravo for continuing when you realised you were on for the big one!

Let us know how the next run goes as it is often an interesting experience.

Hehe! Outsmarted by your own brain I reckon there- whoops, it played the wrong one!

See though! You CAN do it :) Well done :)

The programme is tried and tested. Repeats only need to be done if you couldn't complete all sections of a run.

Week 6, as warned, can look easier BUT there's not many who breezed through it- you'll be fine, but just keep taking it slow and steady.

Good luck :)

Oh, I know what you mean. Just done week 5 run two tonight and feeling nervous about Friday! Mind you, have trusted the programme so far, so will be inspired by your experience!

Yay!!   It sneaked up on you when you weren't expecting it and look what happened - you did it and it was fine.  Well done for not bailing.

Well done. Week 6 runs 2 and 3 are not a step down really. I found todays W6R3 easier than the W5R3, so the intervening runs obviously made a difference for me

I found wk6r1 a bit tougher actually, think I thought it would be easy compared to 20 mins bit certainly wasn't thay easy!
