Just wanted to say a big Thankyou to everyone who replied to my message at the start of week 2, I was really struggling and all of your advice and encouragement was so helpful. I have now just finished wk2r3 and it felt good. I felt I could have gone slightly faster or slightly longer on the runs today without my chest exploding like it was last week, but I resisted the temptation. Downloading Laura has really helped too rather than the other couch to 5k app I was using. Looking forward to week 3!
End of week 2: Just wanted to say a big Thankyou... - Couch to 5K
End of week 2
Well done you! No words of wisdom to impart as I have only just done W3R1 today but it definitely feels good to complete each week, doesn't it! I keep looking ahead to each week and thinking I won't be able to do it but it seems like everyone thought that at one time so perhaps it's a rite of passage! Great work, let's keep it up!
Good for you. Sounds like you have just the right attitude. Listen to Laura and just do what she says. Simple! You will be amazed at how quickly you now progress, just remember always to keep the runs slow.
I've just completed W2 too. I'm amazed at how much quicker I recovered today than the first run of W2!
However I'm not convinced I can run for three whole minutes!! That seems like just far too long for me. I'll give it my best though, W3 will start on Friday as I've managed to get out of sync, looking forward to it but apprehensive too.
It's amazing what difference a couple of runs can make, well done!! I was sure I couldn't do three minutes, but it was actually ok this morning, even in the tipping down rain... Laura helped at the 2 minute points though! I don't stick to the weeks as calendar weeks though I have to admit, I get too confused that way, and it doesn't work around my shifts, so I have a running day and a rest day and do each "podcast week" three times before I move on to the next one.
Good to hear three minutes isn't as bad as we think. I'll give it a try on Friday and let you know if I survive it.
Well done for getting through it. One day we'll be 5k runners.
You're on the right track. You're doing it! Fantastic isn't it?
Well done - keep going! And Laura's very forgiving when you shout at her.....
