Ok so it is only week 1 but that means I ve run 24 minutes more than I did last well which can't be bad! My little voice tried to stop me going today as it's very windy and cold but I rationalised that I had to walk the dog any way so would take her along which worked well almost is on tracks so she can run free. We are luckily very close to Clarks outlet village so I bought a pair of asics trainers yesterday greatly refused to £23 and a great sports bra which is much more comfortable even though she did yell my size out to the shop assistant! Feeling pleased with my smalL steps to a fitter way of life. Hope everyone has a good bank Holliday weekend

Brilliant Tombenoly- well done you! Seems you've already encountered and dealt with the biggest issue- the gremlins or as you describe it your little voice 😀 What a great feeling it is to start this programme, eh. And a good bra and trainers certainly make a difference! Next thing you'll get some runners socks 😀 Have a fabulous weekend yourself, keep up the good work !

I'm in a similar position to you - finished week 1 yesterday! Feels good doesn't it? I'm a person who categorically does not exercise and this defines me to everyone I know (friends have always giggled when I have to break into a 'trot' when crossing a road). I have always hated it since PE at school! Hopefully this is the start of a change. I'd feel great to be able to say to people that I'm running a 5k in a few months time...

I also can't believe how supportive everyone is on this forum, I really feel like it will keep me going! Well done, hope you're feeling proud of yourself like I am :) Have a fabulous weekend.

"Only" week 1? Are you joking?

Starting is half of the journey so well done and never belittle your achievements.

Congratulations on starting! I have just done Week 4 and I'm now hooked. I had a bad run today but, after reading posts on this forum, I now see it for what it was and look forwards to Week 5 starting on Monday. If you have bad days either Post on here and see the support flood in or just read some older posts, it will give you the courage to battle on and Graduate!!! Keep on running 👍

'Only week 1'...

Yes, it is, but it's the most important one- the start of an amazing journey :)

Well done for getting out there despite the gremlins.

My dog has been out there every step of my journey and is a great companion.

Good luck :)
