So ... I did it. We spent yesterday evening and this morning in Lake Placid (home of the 1980 Winter Olympics, fact fans) way up in the Adirondack Mountains. Beautiful place. There's a small lake called Mirror Lake there (pictured) and we did a circuit of that first thing this morning. To be honest, it was much tougher going than either of my NYC runs. It was very humid and we were 1800 feet above sea level, which may have made a difference. I was breathing much harder than usual and despite keeping to a slow pace, I felt like I had to push quite hard in the last 10 minutes.
But I did it!! I'm a graduate. I started on Valentines Day and it's been a blast. Have really enjoyed it, and it's done me the world of good. I want to thank everyone for their support and advice. It's really helped and made the journey so much richer. Sorry I've not been around much to support others but I've not been online much as we've been travelling a lot. Heading back home and to normality tomorrow night.
Excited about where my running journey takes me next 🤔 🙂

Hey vister.. goodmorning.. lovely to wake and see you have graduated.. what a wonderful graduation run.. tough but beautiful.. some wonderful memories from your c25k to cherish..when you look back on your running journey
Beautiful. A few years ago we stayed near Lake Placid in a wonderful B&B in a place called Sunday Pond. I didn't run there but we walked locally and it was so peaceful. Thank you for a lovely reminder! And congratulations!
What a fantastic place to finish! Well done and huge congratulations :). Now you need to set yourself a new target - things can feel a little flat without the program to tick off each week. If you haven't already, get along to a parkrun; or sign up for a race, but most of all, keep coming back here and reporting your 3 runs a week - it's all down to you now!!
I suppose that if you can accept the idea of a giant crocodile, able to fit an helicopter in its mouth, you can also believe it can survive in a mountain lake... 😆
