So ... I did it. We spent yesterday evening and this morning in Lake Placid (home of the 1980 Winter Olympics, fact fans) way up in the Adirondack Mountains. Beautiful place. There's a small lake called Mirror Lake there (pictured) and we did a circuit of that first thing this morning. To be honest, it was much tougher going than either of my NYC runs. It was very humid and we were 1800 feet above sea level, which may have made a difference. I was breathing much harder than usual and despite keeping to a slow pace, I felt like I had to push quite hard in the last 10 minutes.
But I did it!! I'm a graduate. I started on Valentines Day and it's been a blast. Have really enjoyed it, and it's done me the world of good. I want to thank everyone for their support and advice. It's really helped and made the journey so much richer. Sorry I've not been around much to support others but I've not been online much as we've been travelling a lot. Heading back home and to normality tomorrow night.ย
Excited about where my running journey takes me next ๐ค ๐
