2 steps forward - one step back

I'm a graduate and love running but still have weeks when 10 minutes is too hard.  However, today, feeling a little rough after a busy weekend, I started a planned 15 minute run.  At 15 mins I thought " let's try for 20" at 20 I went for 25 and so on until I got to 38 minutes, my longest run ever.  Go me!!!

Go you indeed!  Well done! It's great when things go your way isn't it, things fall into place and a run goes tickety-boo.  Wahay!  You nailed it!

Go you! I do the exact same thing. Much easier to do a shorter run sometimes and keep tacking a bit onto the end of it than to start off aiming for a longer run. All in the mind I suppose. Well done on your longest run to date!

Hiya, I think it's normal in the early days after graduation. I'm sure if you continue with regular running 3 times a week, you'll just get fitter without realising. Then one day you'll realise and say 'how did that happen?'.

Happy running 🏃 ☺
