I got a huge blister on the sole of my foot last weekend, while out walking, but slapped a Compeed plaster on it and have been sort of OK all week until yesterday when it blistered AGAIN, this time on the edge of the plaster. My feet sweat so much, even the Compeeds lift away and I think that must have happened at the edge causing a ridge.
Yet another new plaster has been applied and hopefully it will heal up properly this time.
I am totally bewildered about walking giving me a blister in the first place as I have had none at all since last September when I began to walk 5k every day.
Not sure whether I should or could run on it, I decided to give it a go and managed to finish W3R3 with no problems. The foot is resting now and it is bike exercise until the pesky thing clears up properly.

Blisters on the soles of your feet are horrible. I've had one a couple of times and been equally perplexed, because like you I walk a lot and normally have no problems. OK at the moment though.
Thanks JaySeeSkinny, I have invested in several pairs of special running socks that are squishy and have a liner so fingers crossed once this one has healed up, I won't get any more.
