W3R1 :) (and a bat update...)

That went really well! I enjoyed it! The back of my thighs and my bum hurt a bit, but that proves I'm using them, and although that last minute seemed a lot longer than the ones before (does anybody else ever wonder if Laura has got distracted and forgotten them?!) I never felt I couldn't finish the runs.

Could it be that I will actually do this and learn to run for 30 minutes??

The bat (Steph - the lady I picked her up from had two little girls who'd named her Steve, but she turned out to be a young female...) is doing very nicely so far. She's feeding herself now, is always very active when I check on her. Because we think she was bought in by the family cat which caused the wing damage, she's on a course of antibiotics, which she's being very good about taking, so - so far, so good!

Great to hear that even at the start of week 3 you are focussing on the end result- and YES, you can't do the program and avoid learning to run for 30 minutes lol!!

Great to hear the Steph update, you never know on an evening run after her release she may join you :)

Well done, keep going :)

You and Steph', both doing really well...onwards and upwards.. especially Steph'!

You will get some achy niggles, but they should settle, and yes, you will be running for thirty minutes and you will hardly believe it :)

Yes, on more than one occasion I have been convinced that Laura has forgotten me as the time seemed to drag by!

Thankyou so much! Unfortunately it's not a job, I do it as a volunteer - I wish it was, though!

I know exactly what you mean about Laura getting distracted and forgetting to tell us, I felt that way on the last minute of my W3 run today. Well done for getting through it😄

You've got a hilarious pair of tags there...

What do you call it when a bat on antibiotics has a gastro-intestinal disturbance???? (I hope you don't need to know)

I believe people occasionally *test* Laura to check her timing, which doesn't seem quite cricket, but she possibly is not as attentive to her stopwatch as she might be...

Heh! Your point about Laura is very tactfully put...

Yes, I noticed the tags too! So far Steph appears to be unaffected by her antibiotics, thank goodness!
