The final 2 runs were in Glasgow, following the Kelvin. I have decided that running in a park on narrow paths and avoiding dogs and pedestrians is hard work...
Next run will be a parkrun nearer to home, and I am really looking forwards to it. Managed around 4.6k in 26 minutes, so a parkrun as a planned week 7 run is within the rules!
I am avoiding hills for now, that's for another day, so ended up running loops to ensure a flat run in the timeframe.
I now believe I am a runner. 5 and a bit weeks ago I never thought I would be at this point. The benefits from running extend beyond pure physical, and I only wish I had started this journey 10 years ago... Onwards and upwards...

My Mrs did a Parkrun last Saturday as her final run of week 6, the plan was to stop running and walk the rest of the way after 25 minutes, bu she gamely carried on for the 5k.
I could have completed the 5k distance, except I had the Kelvingrove Park hill of death immediately before me. So I congratulated myself on exceeding the 25 minute run, and used the hill as my cool down!
Ahh the Kelvin.. what a beautiful run.. my hometown is glasgow and have been to Kelvin grove many many times.. the art galleries..the university ..beautiful.. you have made me homesick
