Hi everyone, have been feeling headachey and full of cold but decided to go for a run anyway since my chest is still clear. As soon as I started my run, it began to pelt down right on cue so decided to make it a short run and did the c25k+ stamina podcast which I usually do on my shorter run. Wasn't really in the mood for it what with the wind and rain, also not having slept the past 2 nights but did it, did my 5 min cool down walk and then decided to run a bit more, 15 mins or so. I'm hoping I'll sleep a bit better for having done it.
Not every run is great but I'm still glad I went out and did it. What was fun was running through the mud. Weirdly I liked that, my inner child took over but heck my legs were a sight when I got home!

Know the feeling although I was less gracious about going out on Monday with hubs in the howling wind and pelting rain ... some expletives were uttered at the 3k mark after trogging up a hill when he casually turned and asked if I was ok ... you can imagine the answer! Well done for getting out and hope the dreaded cold shifts soon
It really isn't running weather, is it? I'd be on the mend if I could get a decent night's sleep but you know how it is : thd more you want to sleep, the harder it is to drop off! Your husband sounds like he is made of stern stuff. I didn't contemplate running up any hills yesterday. Mind you it wouldn't have done me much good if I had since there aren't any.
It wasn't too much fun to be honest, just one of those chore runs you somehow get through. I found it hard to follow Laura's advice and always look at least 10 strides ahead. When it is raining, it is easier to just look down at the ground in front. How's your knee?
