First long run in a while

Due to illness and holiday I've only managed one long run since graduation. So today was the day for a repeat performance. The weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot. I was not as light and sprightly as I wanted to be. My legs were a bit heavy (too much food and drink over the last week on holiday) and I felt sluggish. I stopped a few times to take pictures (for certain members of this community). My feet also went numb - which hasn't happened for years! I think I'm just too full and fat at the moment. Anyway I stayed under 8 min pro km, which is OK for a long run and I ran 6.7 km in 52 mins. I can live with that, longest run so far and I feel fine.

Went via the bendy trees, the woods and past the "open air chapel". Have taken pictures for those interested.

Happy Easter and happy running to all!

Happy Easter to you too! It's a great idea to go out for a run to burn off excess calories. You'll feel virtuous afterwards, and no doubt your over-full body will thank you.

Your route looks inspiring!  Who wouldn't want to run there!

Yes, I am actually very lucky with potential routes. That one is extendable up to about 13 k. There are others between 6 and 10 k and if I joined them all together I could probably run all day!

Happy Easter :D  looks a great place to run , a good run and time there :)

Hi Pops. Not holiday really. I was nursing my lovely auntie of 94 over her last few days and since then have been caught up with arranging her funeral and sorting out her estate. Not helped by the fact that she was in Devon and I am in North Yorkshire. Still been running, at times on the seafront which makes a nice change, but I've had no time for posting.
