Well, that's it then. W9r3 completed at parkrun today. Feel really pleased with myself for getting to this point. It's taken 3 weekends to complete w9 as I haven't had chance to go during the week. Not that that matters. Not my fastest run by any means- I've had the same sore throat and cold that everyone I know is suffering with for ages, I haven't had a full night's sleep for a good week or more as I'm waking myself up coughing. But, I've reached the end of c25k and feel so much better for doing it.
So how do I keep going? This week I'll have chance to go out during the daytime at least twice as well as running again on Saturday. I wrote on this site a few weeks ago about setting myself a target. Aim for my 50th parkrun on the weekend before my 50th birthday next February. I've done 13 so far. 37 to go in 45 weeks. Definitely achievable. It will be a achievement. My first run for probably 20 years was on Boxing Day 3 months ago. In October and November, it took a huge amount of effort just to go for a walk. I can't recommend the NHS podcasts enough- I know they won't suit everyone, but they have worked wonders with me and I feel great about it. Thank you Laura- now I have to look at the follow up podcasts and see whether they will be as good as running with you for the last 3 months.
To everyone who responded to my earlier posts, thank you very much. To everyone on their own stage of c25k at the moment- stay with it, you will feel so proud of yourself when you do get to the end. It hasn't all been easy- for me, weeks 8 and 9 seem to have taken forever because I've only been able to get out on Saturdays. Some weeks I really didn't want to get up and go- rain, cold, wind have never been very attractive to me. However, I forced myself and was really glad that I did. I missed one week only when we had an emergency trip to the vet. Sometimes other members of the household have to take priority. What I do have now is a situation where running is part of my routine. I need to keep it going because it will help with all the other things that I want to put right. C25k and parkrun together have been fantastic for me. I hope that everyone else on the forum who is involved with either gets as much out of them as I do.

It seems we have another convert , fitting everything with a busy family life can be difficult and life will always throws curved balls at you, overcoming these is what makes running so special and the sense of self achievement is huge
The main thing now is carrying on running and carry on enjoying it whatever you do
Congratulations on your graduation - how great to do it at Park run
I have set myself that same challenge too - that I want to run my 50th park run on my 50th Birthday in February - problem is that I haven't run as many as you so I can only miss a max of 2!??! - so not sure if it is doable but I'm going to give it my best
Hope you are still on target. I've not posted here for a while, but have kept going with parkrun. My 50th run now looks like it will be Christmas Eve, so I'm aiming for that now. I'll just have to have an extra celebration for the 50th birthday. Wherever you are up to, hope it is helping and that you are getting the most out of it. Happy birthday for February whether it involves a 50th parkrun or not!
