After a weekend of too much drinking, eating and not much sleeping, I was trying to justify a lie down instead of W9R1. 'I can go again; I can miss tonight etc'.
I've five weeks until the Liverpool 5k, so I told myself to get my trainers on and get out, even if I couldn't manage the full 30 minutes - something is always better than nothing!
Guess what? I ran further than last week, and maybe a tiny bit faster (although not that you'd notice). I even ran a few minutes more and feel fantastic!
So next time I'm thinking I can't be bothered, I'm just going to put my stuff on and go out and put one foot in front of the other and see where I end up. I can't believe how far I've come in nine weeks; if I can do this anyone can
