Hope you are all well. I'm absolutely loving the running and since graduation I have been running at least 3 times a week. I've run 7K in 54 minutes which is my best run so far. Why am I telling you this you ask? I ran my first step on 23/11/15 and I just can't get over how far I've come.
If you are just starting out or nearly finished, keep at it, it's soooo worth it.
I've been having some pain in my calves and I am going to rest for a few days now and go on the cross trainer tomorrow night at the gym instead of running. I don't want to end up injured!
Love Elsie xxxx

Elsie, that's incredible! What an inspirational post. Well done on running for such a distance in such a length of time! You definitely deserve a few rest days now - maybe a nice soothing bath (with a glass of wine, perhaps?)
Fantastic Elsie, great to hear how much you're still loving running and to cover that distance is just brilliant, well done and thank you for sharing your news x
Hi Elsie, that sounds amazing - can I ask you if you enjoyed it before graduating?
I am sticking to the programme from being determined to do it and I feel good afterwards but I really dislike the actual run and it feels like just endurance - did you get to a point when it started to get enjoyable during the runs and if so at what point? Thanks.
I think week 5 and the 20 minute run was the turning point for me! I did love it in so much as the achievements were brilliant. I cried my eyes out after that first 20 minute run. I just pushed myself each time and always being someone who gives up, I began to love it.
Keep at it and have faith in the programme. You will do great!
Go Elsie.. you are a true inspiration...I too, am running three times a week... unbelievable isn't it?
Glad you are doing okay and staying fit too.. can empathise with the calves aching...mine feel like solid rocks this evening.. so, like you a rest day tomorrow and some gentle cycling!!!!
