Anyone have a favorite running book -- training, diet, inspirational stories -- that they could recommend?
I have one (Your First Marathon - by Scaff) but left it at my mom's - in the states - and won't get it back until May. I don't want to buy a duplicate, but another one might be useful. Any suggestions?

Wow - Rignold - that is quite a list! Thank you. I'm going to have to look into all those names. I hadn't expected "metabolism" and "fiction" categories. The Paleo diet sounds intriguing! wow...
Eat & run: not addictive reading for me but extremely thought provoking and some fantastic content on eating better! Worth reading
A life without limits by Chrissie Wellington: I found this difficult to put down. From speaking to others that have read it - it really appeals to determined / focused women, less so everyone else!
Born to run: I didn't buy whole heartedly into the barefoot running concept but I loved the 'story'. It was really interesting
Running for Women's: I didn't feel it was worth it for the odd bit of info I gleaned from it. I felt it struggled to cover all bases by including beginner sections alongside some complex training programmes. Nothing you couldn't find on the Internet!
Just finished Born to Run and loved it, more the story, but the rest has definitely given me more to think about as a flat footer.
Also loved Running Like a Girl, got the upgraded audio version so I can listen while I run, I find it funny and inspiring.
Am currently going through The Running Revolution which has given me lots to do as well as confirm my bias that my orthotics aren't helping and I was better in my cheapy sandals that had no arch 'support'.
Oh, also loved No Need For Speed as I have a tendency to beat myself up for not being good enough and this book really helps ground me and make me remember that slow is good enough.
Seems like you'll have lots of books to try samples of if you have a kindle or app!
