Hehe!! You obviously dont run the same route as me! I wear my glasses for running as, like you, I cant see without them! The only exception is if Im running with my daughter, who can then be my eyes!! Happy running!
I run with my glasses as well. I'd be a liability for everybody involved if I didn't. I only have problems when they steam up, which happens all the time. I don't care what people think (at the moment it's still dark in the morning when I run, so nobody sees anyway)!
Thanks for all your replies. I know it sounds silly but it's just one of the things that I worry about. It hasn't stopped me from running though and I'm off out again tonight 😊
I run with glasses and the only issues I've experienced have been steaming up, and rain. You often see runners wearing sunglasses in the summer so it's nothing to worry about.
You can get an elasticated band to hold them in place, but honestly I don't think this is necessary, and wearing glasses is definitely better than tripping over and landing in a mess on the ground.
As somebody who would never go out without at least foundation on, I have surprised myself by running without even brushing my hair! I wear glasses and find them useful when it is sunny as they are sunglasses. I find I just don't think about anybody looking at me.
I wear glasses 99% of the times I run. The only problem that I have encountered is glasses sliding down my slippery sweaty nose in hot weather. For that reason I tend to run without them if it is really hot and sunny. My eyesight is not quite so bad in very bright conditions. I find it really annoying pushing them back up my nose every few minutes. I find glasses have the added benefit ( other than letting me see ) of holding my over ear earphones securely in place
I have special glasses for skiing and cycling which are more securely fixed to my head, and have interchangeable coloured filters in various strengths and colours. However, I don't run with them as they feel too heavy
I had never even thought about this until your post, but I have watched my husb run daily with his specs on. I suppose I am so used to seeing him with them that I just don't 'see' them!
Who on urf is going to think any differently about you with specs on or off? I bet only you notices you are wearing 'em.
You are probably right Slookie. My husband always tells me that nobody even notices them. I just hate wearing them but when I'm running I tend to forget about them.
