I finally completed wk9 r3 last week, took longer than the 9 weeks as I had to take a month off after injuring my ankle but amazingly got there in the end. Now wondering what to do next? I've been relpeating the w9 runs to build up speed but need a new challenge I think
C25k done!: I finally completed wk9 r3 last week... - Couch to 5K
C25k done!
Hiya. I just graduated so I'm curious what others will say. Like you I'm going to start by repeating week 9, but then I thought I'd try the Stepping Stone podcasts. They sound a bit scary from what I've read but so did c25k when I started. Good luck!
Congratulations on graduating.
I just increased my runs each week.....I graduated in August 2015 and signed up for a 10k (did it last week)
The weekend became my long run and just increased each time
Good luck
Well done! Congratulations. You can now do the C25k+ podcasts. Still, with Laura, so you're on familiar territory but taking things up a notch.
Podcasts to download free from here or NHS Livewell site. There are 3 podcasts in the Stepping Stones podcasts and they'll keep you busy for a while and take your running up to the next level. Be sure to give them a thorough doing as they're really good!
Happy running!
Try the Couch to 5K+..great fun... give it a go before you make any judgements on it.
Different things suit different folks... They suited me just fine after Graduation. I really missed the reassurance of Laura..
I found the Stepping Stone fine, and the Speed podcast really suited me; and, as I have said to sulanderson, only the dreaded lurgy has really slowed me down. I have not done the Stamina one yet and have repeated two Stepping Stone to get me back on par. I am moving on to repeat Speed, me and weather permitting, next run..on Tuesday.
Maybe give it a go?
Thanks for the suggestion, I've just tried out the stepping stone podcast. Wasn't sure I was going to be able to keep up but somehow managed it so I'm really pleased I can still listen to Laura pushing me on
Congratulations!
There's a whole world of running out there waiting.
Some people build distance, some try to improve speed. There is parkrun, races, trail running, fell running, orienteering - you name it!
I suggest you mix it up and try different things until you find what suits you.
Thanks for the suggestions, I've just downloaded the podcasts you've all recommended sow ill give that a go, signing up for races sounds way too ambitious yet!
