A bit of a disappointment with Parkrun this morning. No new PB! I was not 100% good but went there anyway. It took me 41.46 minutes = 8.294 minutes per k. Still It is faster than my other morning runs, I think because it is on concrete path instead of the beach. I will have to push myself more.

Went to Parkrun this morning

Don't be disappointed , you weren'f feeling 100 % but you still went and did park run big pat on the back

Doesn't matter, you did it! Would have thought it would be faster on concrete than beach. What distance are you upto? Yes, could be that you weren't 100%..π
Thanks Dave, I do find concrete faster than beach, I was just a bit off colour on this Parkrun day. Lack of sleep. I realised it in the morning and wanted to stay home but had told friends the previous evening I was going so did not want to lose face. Lucky I did as they all asked me how I went ! During that run, tail end Charlie was just behind me at walking pace. I could see her shadow whenever the sun was behind me. It was very unnerving.
My longer distance so far is 6.8k, (once). I will try 7k on Monday. We are getting a heat wave starting today so I will need to go very early as I can't lose any weeks to reach my goal.

Running on a beach sounds lovely but sand can be such hard work! Well done on getting to the park run when you weren't feeling so good too!

Thanks hilbean. I like running on sand as I am used to it but have discovered that the concrete path alongside the beach improve my time so lately I have been running on the beach then return on the path.
