Should have stayed home, upset stomach before the run, sore hip which resulted in me having to take short strides the whole 5K. Will be a slow time for sure.
Also got a lovely birthday present from hubby which was a Garmin110. Tried it out for a walk yesterday, all set today. Huh have managed to track my time from leaving the house in the car plus running time, don't know what went wrong, really annoyed with myself cos I'm usually quite good with techie stuff. Never mind will just put it down to my advancing years
Its turning really cold here now though, only 8C at 9.30 this morning, gloves on and jacket for most of the run, will be hat next me thinks.
Hope anyone doing a Parkrun this morning had fun and got a good time. Enjoy

Well I just can't believe it!!!! Just checked my results and for someone that didn't run well I seem to have a new PB by a whole 3 seconds. 31:39. Makes me wonder what it would have been if I had been feeling good, mmmmmm must try harder next time
Congrats on that unexpected PB and the lovely new Garmin. I wanted to do a second parkrun today but due to a wardrobe malfunction (put my running leggings on back to front) I left the house late and missed the bus... Not exactly a PB for me..
I also had a bad Parkrun this morning. In fact so bad I did not do it!
My first one, so I was all geared up to do it. They were shouting instructions down a megaphone but someone's beagle was bugling all over so I could not hear a word. Then the hooter went and off we went. But I just could not get going. It was so cold I think my muscles were not warmed up. So as the whole pack thundered off into the distance I felt I did not mind being behind, but not THAT far behind, so after 3.5 minutes I slunk off round the back of the children's playground and pretended I had not been there.
Oh christian I'm really sorry to hear about your Parkrun. I love dogs but there was a very large one at our's yesterday. When I looked around there were two women who looked really scared of him and one said I wish he wasn't here or on a much shorter lead!! It can't be easy for people who are nervous of dogs when there can be a few attending and they do sometimes like to speak to each other which can be worse.
Put yesterday behind you and plan on wearing something warmer for the next run and indeed the next 5-6 months cos its getting much colder up here in the far NE Scotland with every day. I did a short warm up run yesterday which I think helped but its getting the timing right for that too, all part of the fun.
