Some of my club members are wearing only shorts, some just T shirts as well in this freezing weather, and someone's picked up on it saying their health will pay for it in the future!
I wonder if there's any truth in that? Could it lead to arthritis sooner?
I wouldn't have thought running for an hour or so would be a problem, just flipping brass monkey's if you have to stand around, I prefer to coverup in this weather...

No, it's shorts for me every time. Don't really feel the cold so much in my legs, feel the cold more above the waist and hands too, so gloves are a must. Didn't think wearing shorts in the cold would be a long term problem, but got me pondering now.....
The world isn't ready for the sight of me in shorts, but I certainly just wear leggings and T shirt, no hats, gloves or jacket whatever the weather and I'm fine! I soon overheat if i set out in anything else.....
I wouldn't think so - we all have different heat tolerance anyway. Not for me tho'!!! Where is that Dave? The snow all went here quite quickly - or maybe it was yesterday.
I used to live in the cold weather in my younger days and as a child spent the whole winter in socks and short skirts. I survived. As a young woman, I used to wear very fine stockings and suspenders as was the style in those days. The icy wind used to blow up to the "you know where" brrrrrr, but I survived. Never had a hat (except for church 😇) but have a lot of hair.
I think we worry more about the cold as we get older, while younger people just don't seem to be affected.
Now I like to cover up when it is cold.
I also can say that the cold temperature or snow of my younger days did not affect my health. ☃
