Today just done the first run of week two and found it a bit easier than I thought I would. Definitely feeling fitter than I did before I started C25K. So even though I am new I would like to encourage people to give it a go and get out there. I have even started "running" up stairs and I don't care if I am out of breath at the top - at least I am trying.

Well done! Soon you will be 'fitfred'
I still don't believe I can be fit. I've been fat for too many years.
Fitness and fatness are independent of each other, you know. An overweight person who does exercise will have a fitter, healthier heart than someone with a healthier weight but never does exercise. Believe! Fitness or regular exercise has been proven to have many more health benefits in all areas of health independently from weight. Be an optimist! Every run does you good
Thanks beatricerose. I will do this, I am determined and who knows when I finish I could well be a changed person for the rest of my life!! Thanks for the support.
Brilliant Fred, I'm doing week 2 run 1 tonight not sure how ready I am but fingers crossed. Keep up the good work
Hi bunty65, how are you getting on? We are at a very similar stage in this journey. I am finding it hard to be honest but I am going to stick at it as I want to turn into fitfred that is.... if I don't die in the meantime
Hi Fred, I did run week 2 run 1 yesterday and just about managed it but it certainly wasn't easy. I have a colleague who completed C25K a couple of years ago and he assures me I'll be amazed how it all comes together, although he is about 10 years younger ! I'm coming up for 51 and have some health issues which I know will be helped by exercise and controlling my diet so am determined to give it my best shot. How are you doing ? Keep up the good work every step will be worth it
