Hi I have just finished week 6 run 2. I have never ran before and feel fitter than I have ever been. My problem is that 5 years ago I broke my ankle and although I get accasional pain in cold weather, when I run my whole leg hurts, it feels like my leg bones are aching, any advice would be great. I am 52.

Vend girl, best to speak to a professional but I've had similar, popped my knee twice over a couple of years and found that I was favouring my good leg to the detriment of my bad knee, the tendons got tighter and any exercise was so tight and painful, in the end I went to a sports therapist as I wanted to go skiing and she gave me squats with a ball at my back against a wall to do and I started cycling, now both legs are great, although my right knee is still fat.
