I completed W8 yesterday on a different route to get a change of scenery, it was also a change of terrain from bridlepaths and pavements, to mainly grass. This morning I woke up with a dull ache all the way down my left leg but worse behind the knee, could this just to down to the change in terrain?

Off road is very different.. the different muscles used and the increased awareness of hidden pitfalls etc...the change will most certainly have impacted on you, if most of your runs have been done on hard surface
I'm still with you! Still running same route ( but getting further obviously before turning round to run for home) so I can't give advice on change of terrain. Mine is mainly wooden boardwalk and paths of very fine stones ( cinder?, not as uneven as gravel)
Am too scared to spoil a good thing right now but I will try other options after we graduate on Friday. Can you believe it?
I only changed because I've signed up for a 5k there in 6 weeks, it's the first time I've had any real aches but I'm going to move away from the lake and do a lap of the playing fields then back onto the pavements to try and get used to it.
Good luck for week 9, I'll see you at the finish line
I've just finished week 8 today and I've been running diff surfaces thru out tend to to do the same one week then do a diff one then go back. Some times I would ache more than others. 👍
