Hi everyone. I restarted c25k on Sunday after a long break due to plantar fasciitis. I had got about as far as WK 6or7 but after 8 months I knew I needed to go back to the start. I'm glad I did.. Run 1, I ended up with hip and knee pain looking like I had a wooden leg! And tonight I managed with only a niggle in my hip on the 1st run but by run 7&8 I felt like I was running through treacle :/ this was confirmed when my hubby, who was keeping me company, stopped to adjust something and didn't lose his position next to me! I had forgotten how much I had started to enjoy the runs and am going to start park run soon.

Thanks for listening :)

Kate

Just wanted to say good luck. I restarted after a long break (also due to injury) on Boxing Day - loved the programme 2 years ago and loving it again now. Hope we both stay injury free😄

I also had to restart, but got to week 5 quickly by doing only one run of each week. It felt right for me because I only had 8 weeks break.

Do whatever feels right to you, for your body and keep going.

We will crack it eventually :)

I told my hubby I'd probably be doing one of each run from the first few weeks.. Haha how wrong was I about my fitness! I am very overweight so am not going to risk injury over successfully completing the plan. Good luck :) my aim is to do one of the 10k winter runs next year..

Good luck with the programme

Hi Kate, welcome back and well done you for starting it all again! You did make me laugh with your running through treacle bit, we've got to laugh to keep going haven't we?!

I restarted the programme on Monday too after a break with a torn calf muscle and two injured Achilles. I found Run 1 tough enough really and realised even though I'd tried to keep up other exercise that running requires different muscles and fitness aspects! Good to be out there again though.

Good luck with your final Week 1 run later in the week xxx
