Buzzing!

First week done. Absolutely amazed, delighted and most importantly....motivated. Having gained a huge amount of weight.....comfort eating and drinking (grief depression and PTSD) it was as if someone tripped a switch. The first session was incredibly hard. But I did it. Now looking forward (yes!) to week two. And have signed up for Race for Life in May. Thank you NHS and whoever had this brilliant idea!! :)

Thank you very much. I have only lost a lb. But whereas that used to set me back...not this time. If I lose a lb a week and can run...that will do me :)

With running and weight loss progress is often slow, and the key is congratulating yourself for every single step, however small! This forum will help keep up your momentum too, so keep updating us, even if it's going badly (in fact particularly if you feel it's going badly, we'all persuade you otherwise)

Hi Shorty! Well done getting through w1. It can be tough this running lark but it is so worth it. Even if a run is tough, I find I feel so good afterwards and getting 3 bursts of happiness like that a week does help just getting through the worries and stresses of life. I think you will come to really enjoy it.

Hi BTYD! Thanks for the encouragement. Weighed in and lost a lb. That's ok. I am more keen to gain cardio fitness and mental wellbeing. I will get there and no doubt the weight will go eventually!! :) Keep going yourself. I feel v motivated! :)

Well done you! The programme really is a life changer. I lost weight too, gained a huge amount of confidence, and got fit! It's brilliant. Go for it!
