But it almost broke me I was shattered before I did the run as I’ve started cycling into work too so to get out on my lunch break in the rain and wind was hard work.
To end on a positive thought I’ve got Survival of the Fittest looming in October and I WANT to be prepared so as I’m not completely broken yet, bring on W5!

Well the run I'm training for is in October and includes a swim in the Trent so its gonna be cold and I'm gonna get wet so I thought I'd best get used to it!
Yikes...! yep...by then with the current weather you will be well used to it!
But, if it is any consolation the water might feel warmer than it does in summer...I used to regularly do a New Year's Day swim in Cardigan Bay in West Wales, and it always felt much warmer( ambient temperature and all that)...does that apply to rivers...?
Yeah that's what I keep telling myself "It's had all year to warm up" but I don't thin Rivers do :\
Yeah its not advised to swallow any of the water and seek medical advice if you do and feel unwell, I've had a few shots a while back for a trip to India I hope they see me well!
I've got myself a UnderArmor ColdGear long sleeve top to wear and that's keeping me nice and warm, I think I'll need to pick up some Leggings/Tights (call 'em what you will) was thinking a pair of Salomon Agile Long!?
I had no choice but to slow down my body and the wind in my face wouldn't let me go any faster but I will actively try to slow down or just push on through when I do W5R1 (planned for Sunday) I have a goal and determination ... I WILL do it!
