Morning all, not been on for a while, I am struggling at the moment to do any kind of running got plantar fasciitis in my left foot, so I run but the next day it is very painful and to top it all off I hurt my knee on Monday on the same leg!!!!

Just annoyed because I was doing so well with my runs 2/3 times a week, but still no where near the 5k in 30 mins!!

Hi Lotty, so sorry to hear your news. That's a horrid condition to have isn't it. I've had this hot over a year and sadly it's getting worse right now! It's my left got too! It's typical that the leg you are already sore in is hurting through another injury too. Chin up and here's to a good recovery- hope you are getting Physio ... (((Hug!!)))

Are you overdoing the running? sudden increase in intensity of excercise can bring it on..

Ouch - sounds very painful. Have you considered seeing a podiatrist so that you can get in-soles/orthotics? I had a dodgy knee for 20 years (no running at all in that time) until I got mine and there's been no looking back since 14 months ago.

The problem I have had is I had this condition in my right foot for so long that sometimes I was limping so all the strain was in my left, it took ages gor the doctor to realise and refer me, right foot is better not 100%, but know it's in he left, doing the exercises but I think I am going to have to go to the doctors and get it sort sooner rather than later!

I got plantar fasciitis last year and still have it but am able to run with the proper inserts for my shoes. Most of the pain has gone away to the point of just a mild discomfort which I can deal with. I've beenable to run 10 miles straight without issue. Seek help from a physio and experts at a runnig store. Good luck to you for future runs.
