Maybe you're struggling as you're running too fast. C25k is not about speed or distance, it's about finishing the session.

Don't push at this stage or you will get hurt! Go nice and steady and give yourself time to build up gradually.

That said, well done on getting to week 8! You have overcome the major stumbling block which is week 6. Now, if you go nice and steady, you'll finish the rest of the programme in style and enjoy yourself

Good luck!

I know that I shouldnt be going hard but I just really want to run that sub 30minute 5k,I know im risking injury so im going to tone it down a bit :D

Please do! Slamming your untrained legs down hard is going to end in disaster

it takes 18 months to 2 years to get your body accustomed to running. You are still a new runner for this period of time, which is why you have to develop slowly while getting your body run ready.

I've been injured since May, with a shin splint so bad I thought I had a broken leg! Don't let that happen to you. Take care x

Oh my god that sounds horrible I hope you recover soon, the funny thing is that before I started doing c25k I couldnt ever imagine being a runner but now I can't imagine a life without running, hope you're doing good :)

Well done! You're doing great, I am a few weeks behind you, so I am a little in awe of a week 8er especially as you're covering relatively an impressive bit of the final distance. The flip side of the struggle is that it brings with it the support of the forum! All the best and keep posting about your final strech

I am 58 now and only began c25k 2 years ago, never having run before. I love it too and can't imagine not running, which is why being hurt is so bad. Slowly getting back into it. Working with ever more emphasis on getting my whole body stronger, not just my legs. That's something you need to be doing ☺

That seems pretty fast to me - maybe less of a struggle if you slow down a bit at this stage?
